Scope and Contents This collection consists of seven one year contracts between Abraham Lovell, curator of William Ackerly's (deceased) estate, and individuals for hire of enslaved persons, Rachel, Fanny, Nancy, James Alexander, Elisha, and Caroline with her three children.
